On the outside mozzarella - inside filled with shredded mozzarella mixed with cream
The curd used to make burrata is identical to that of mozzarella. The curd is stretched using hot water and then filled with stracciatella - a creamy mix of shredded mozzarella and organic cream. Naturally everything is stretched, filled and shaped by hand.
Burrata is best enjoyed at room temperature. Make it the centrepiece for your antipasto, as a starter, on freshly baked pizza, a salad or as a different and fresh dessert.
